For renting a vehicle the lessor must be at least 18 years old and have a valid passport and driving license. International driving license is obligatory if the client is not representing a country which has signed the Road Traffic Convention of Vienna or the driving license is not in Latin letters.
According to the Rental Agreement signed by the two parties ( Swift car rental and the lessor) the driver has no right to provide the car to the use of another person if he/she is not authorized by the Swift Car Rental company as an additional driver. In this case the authorized driver is fully responsible for any damage, loss of documents, traffic rule violations and all other incidents caused by the unauthorized driver.
Swift car Rental Company offers 2 types of insurance: standard insurance and full insurance.
Standard insurance package is included in the rental price and an amount of 150.000 AMD is required as a deposit. This package includes: third part liability, TP (theft protection), CDW (Collision damage waiver), driver's and passengers' injuries caused by an accident.
The deposit amount is returned to the lessor if he/she returns the rented car completely the way it was at the moment of pick-up, otherwise the Lessee has the right to charge from the deposit amount the cost of the damage repair.
Full insurance package can be purchased by paying additional 7000 AMD per-day (maximum 49000 AMD for 7 days if the rental agreement is more than 7 days). The extra fee for full insurance is non-refundable.
This package includes standard insurance details and covers all the visual damages, removes any responsibility of the lessor if he/she is an authorized driver and is not under influence of alcohol and drugs. A deposit amount of 100.000 AMD is required in case of full insurance.
Both insurance types are valid in the territory of Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Georgia.
Parking is free of charge for all the clients in the territory of Yerevan. If the car is parked in a forbidden area the client is fully responsible for the police fines as well as for all other police fines captured from cameras and speed cameras during his/her car rental period. After getting police tickets from the Road Police of RA Swift Car Rental company has the right to charge the full amount of the fines from the lessor's preauthorized deposit amount if he/she does not pay them during 2 weeks after receiving a notification about police tickets from Swift Car Rental.
International credit cards such as ARCA, MasterCard, Visa, Mir, UnionPay and American Express are accepted.
Payment by cash is much more desirable. Only Armenian Dram (AMD) is accepted.
The deposit amount can be preauthorized from a credit card and is automatically returned to the lessor's bank account within 2-3 weeks.
Deposit by cash is accepted and is given back to the lessor if he/she returns the car in the same condition as it was at the pick-up time.
The Vehicle may not be used:
The vehicle is provided to the lessor in good and fully operating condition including all the obligatory documents.
By singing the pick-up agreement the lessor agrees that the vehicle corresponds to the condition mentioned in the pick-up document and obliges to return the car at the time and date mentioned in the rental contract. The lessor has the right to be late for 2 hours from the appointed time in the rental contract. If he/she returns the vehicle out of permitted hours the lessee can charge the amount for additional day.
The vehicle is provided to the lessor in clean condition and with full tank. If the lessor does not return it the same way the lessee has the right to charge from the client 3000 AMD for cleaning and 540 AMD per-liter for the missing fuel.
One-way rentals are available in the territory of Armenia, Georgia and Nagorno-Karabakh. The additional amount of one-way rental is calculated according to the drop-off point.
The lessee has the right to cross the Armenia – Georgia border with prior permission of the Swift Car Rental. An authorization document for crossing the border is provided for 15.000AMD.
Pick up/Drop off at Zvartnots International Airport is free of charge, which makes our company the only one in its kind.
We also give the advantage of making reservations for Gyumri airport, which has already become a popular touristic destination.
Swift Car Rental takes no responsibility for the objects or any property left in the vehicle after the use of the car.
All agreement-related disputes and controversy between the parties shall be settled by mutual agreement. Disputes that are failed to be settled by mutual agreement will be settled in accordance with the existing legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
