1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of vehicles from Swift (“the Company”). By signing the rental agreement or using our services, you (“the Lessee”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Documentation
- Lessee must be between 18 and 75 years old.
- A valid driver’s license is required; no minimum driving experience is necessary.
- Lessee must provide a government-issued passport.
- Proof of address, valid email, and phone number are required for contact purposes.
- Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility criteria, be registered in the system, and be clearly indicated in the rental agreement as an additional service.
3. Booking Process
- The lessee may book a vehicle from Swift Car Rental through multiple channels: via the website, by phone, or by email.
- Upon booking, all vehicle groups available in the fleet will be presented to the lessee. By selecting a specific group, the lessee acknowledges that the vehicle provided will be of a similar type within the chosen group and not necessarily the exact model shown in the pictures.
- When completing the booking process through the website, the lessee submits a booking request, which must be confirmed by a Swift operator.
- If all vehicles are sold out, the operator reserves the right to decline the lessee’s request.
- If the selected vehicle group is unavailable, the operator may offer an alternative vehicle, which may incur an additional fee.
4. Payment and Deposits
- Rentals must be prepaid or paid at the start of the lessee, as agreed.
- A refundable security deposit will be held on the lessee’s payment card to cover potential damages, fines, or additional charges.
- The deposit amount depends solely on the insurance type selected. It does not vary based on the vehicle category, rental duration, or lessee profile.
- The deposit amount held on the card will be refunded upon vehicle drop-off. In case of any delays, the rental agency is not responsible, as the refund process depends entirely on the lessee’s bank and its processing times.
- According to the regulations of the Central Bank of Armenia, deposit amounts are legally allowed to be held for a maximum of 30 days, after which they will be automatically released back to the customer.
- All payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- The Company reserves the right to deny the rental or terminate the agreement if payment fails or identification is invalid or incomplete.
- Accepted payment methods:
- Cards: ARCA, MasterCard, Visa, UnionPay, American Express.
- Cash: Accepted in Armenian Dram (AMD).
- Deposits may be paid in AMD, USD, EUR, or RUB.
5. Rental Period, Early Returns, and Late Returns
- The rental period begins and ends at the dates, times, and locations specified in the rental agreement. The pick-up and drop-off dates agreed upon at the time of booking shall remain unchanged, regardless of any delay by the Lessee in collecting the vehicle.
- If the lessee returns the vehicle earlier than scheduled, the return day and the following day will be counted as fully rented and are non-refundable. After these two days, a refund will be issued for any remaining unused days, based on the daily rate specified in the agreement. Additional service fees are non-refundable.
- Returns made within 2 hours after the agreed return time are accepted without additional charges.
- Returns made between 3 to 6 hours late will incur a half-day rental fee.
- Returns exceeding 6 hours late will incur a full-day rental fee.
